Job Description

Koala Insulation of Washington DC is hiring a full-time Insulation Installer to perform residential and light commercial insulation installations. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on construction experience who are comfortable working in attics, crawlspaces, and wall cavities installing fiberglass, cellulose, and air sealing systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install blown-in fiberglass and cellulose insulation
  • Install fiberglass batt insulation in attics, walls, and crawlspaces
  • Install Spray Foam insulation
  • Perform air sealing using foam, caulk, and rigid materials
  • Prepare job sites: masking, protection, setup, and cleanup
  • Operate insulation blowing machines and related equipment
  • Follow company and OSHA safety procedures
  • Maintain clean, professional job sites and company equipment
  • Communicate job status and material usage to supervisors

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year construction experience
  • Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, and confined spaces
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and climb ladders
  • Comfortable using power tools and job-site equipment
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior insulation & spray foam installer experience (fiberglass or cellulose)
  • Air sealing or weatherization experience
  • Residential retrofit experience
  • Basic understanding of building materials and job-site safety
