Job Summary:

A Housekeeping Inspector at Black Desert Resort is responsible for ensuring that guest rooms and public areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. This position reports to the Housekeeping Manager and plays a critical role in maintaining the quality and consistency of the resort's housekeeping operations.

Job Specification:

Location: Onsite at Black Desert ResortShift & Schedule: Year-Round Full TimePay Range: $19.00 - $20.50/hour. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure they meet the resort's cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Conduct detailed inspections of rooms after cleaning, checking for any missed areas or items that need attention.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to housekeeping staff to improve cleaning practices and standards.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and follow-up actions.
  • Assist with training new housekeeping staff, emphasizing quality and attention to detail.
  • Ensure that all cleaning equipment and supplies are used and stored properly.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries, providing excellent customer service.
  • Support housekeeping staff with room turnovers during peak periods if needed.
  • Participate in housekeeping meetings and training sessions to stay updated on cleaning techniques and standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager or Director of Housekeeping.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in housekeeping or a similar role in a hospitality setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently, managing multiple tasks.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor with a passion for providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy items.
  • Proficiency with housekeeping management software and tools.
