Aspirus Cardiology Clinic in Wausau, WI is seeking a REGISTERED NURSE - ANTICOAGULATION CLINIC to join our team!
The Anticoagulation Clinic RN provides specialized nursing care and management for patients receiving anticoagulation therapy. Responsibilities include monitoring anticoagulation medications and laboratory results, assessing for bleeding or thrombotic complications, educating patients on medication adherence and safety, adjusting therapy per protocol, and coordinating care with providers and pharmacies. Ensures safe, evidence-based management of anticoagulation treatment while promoting positive patient outcomes and reducing complications.
Experience/Qualifications
  • Associate degree in nursing required.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
  • Certification in specialty desired.
  • Minimum of one year practicing as a RN preferred.
  • Possesses an active Wisconsin RN nursing license.
  • Possesses an active Michigan RN nursing license with 3 months of hire date.
  • ACLS certification within 6 months of hire date.
  • Certified Heart Failure Nurse (CHFN) certification with 2 years of hire date.
  • Maintains specialty certification as per department scope of service.
  • Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, manikin, and knowledge testing. An acceptable BLS training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED.
