Job description

Midwest multi-disciplined engineering firm is looking to add an Automation Engineer to their Naperville team!


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the design, installation, commissioning and testing process, and instrumentation & control systems (SCADA)
  • Collaborate with internal departments including information technology, engineering, and operations
  • Provide project management, manage teams, and ensure quality control during all phases of project
  • Provide instrumentation & control design services for water/wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and related facilities
  • Onsite work for municipal clients (instrumentation configuration, installation assistance, and control system and process start-up/testing
  • On-call 24/7 (rotate weekly) to troubleshoot instrumentation/control issues


Requirements:
  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
  • 5+ years of experience as an Electrical/Controls Engineer performing design, programming, installation and startup tasks
  • Programming experience using PLCs, SCADA, and OITs software
  • Experience using various products (Concentric Integration primarily include Allen-Bradley SLC, MicroLogix, CompactLogix, ControlLogix, PanelView, Rockwell FactoryTalk View, GE iFIX, Inductive Automation Ignition, Wonderware System Platform, InTouch, and other hardware/software)
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Auto CAD/Visio experience preferred


Salary is commensurate with experience.
