Description

Inca Presswood Pallets is a manufacturer of Engineered Molded Wood pallets, core plugs, and extruded wood blocks, along with other engineered wood products located in Sardis, MS.

We are currently looking for a qualified Industrial Maintenance Technician working full time with competitive pay, and excellent benefits including 401k and paid vacation.


Position Summary

The Industrial Maintenance Technician position requires strong electrical experience within an industrial manufacturing environment. You will troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain electrical equipment while maintaining a safe environment and observing all local, state, and federal electrical and safety regulations.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Works in a safe and efficient manner.
  • 480V 240V, 120V, 24 VSC systems and controls.
  • Motor installations and troubleshooting up to 250 HP
  • Install and troubleshoot 480V motor starting circuits.
  • Install and troubleshoot variable frequency drives (VFD) and DC circuits.
  • Completes work in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Conduit installation as required.
  • Electrical Panel component diagnosis and replacement.
  • PLC installations and troubleshooting (Programming not required)
  • Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
  • Ability to read electrical line drawings & schematics and ladder logic.
  • Hydraulic experience a plus.
  • Will be required to perform preventative and demand maintenance in all areas of the facility.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs, both verbally and through work orders.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Welding Stick and MIG.
  • Fabrication (Guides, Guards, Brackets).
  • Maintain a Hot Water Boiler System.
  • Maintain drag chain conveyors.
  • Preform coupling alignments.
  • Change large bearings as needed.
  • Operate heavy equipment.
  • Maintain all aspects of the operation.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician within a manufacturing environment
  • An approved apprenticeship or 2-year degree in Industrial Electricity or equivalent
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work well on a team
  • Strong interpersonal communication
  • Must make safety an integral part of all aspects of the job

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. They must be able to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk and reach with his hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to discern colors, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Work on elevated surfaces and manlifts.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Exposure to a noisy work environment.
  • Exposure to hot and humid conditions.
  • Exposure to coolants, oils, grease, and water.
  • Ear and Eye protection is required at all times in designated production areas.
  • Steel toe boots are required at all times.
