Job description

The PRS Triage Engineer supports propulsion system diagnostics, In-Plant execution, First-Level Analysis (FLA), HV Testing, and PRS SW Releasing activities for ICE, Hybrid, and BEV platforms. This entry-level role focuses on learning and applying engineering fundamentals to assist with issue triage, testing, and validation activities.
Working under guidance, the Engineer uses diagnostic tools and data analysis to support problem identification, production readiness, and continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with EOL testing, ECU flashing, and In-Plant readiness activities.
  • Support First-Level Analysis (FLA) by reviewing logs, DTCs, and basic diagnostic data.
  • Use tools such as CANalyzer, CANoe, and INCA to collect and analyze vehicle data.
  • Support troubleshooting of propulsion system issues in plant or test environments.
  • Assist in calibration validation and data collection activities.
  • Document findings and support development of reports and issue summaries.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and quality.
  • Follow established processes, standards, and test procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and documentation updates.
  • Participate in training and skill development in diagnostics, tools, and systems.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Basic understanding of propulsion systems (ICE, Hybrid, or BEV).
  • Familiarity with vehicle diagnostics or data analysis tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel to plants as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Internship/co-op experience in automotive engineering, diagnostics, or validation.
  • Exposure to CAN tools, INCA, or similar diagnostic software.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle networking (CAN) and diagnostics (DTCs).
  • Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink or data analysis tools.
  • Awareness of EV/Hybrid architectures or high-voltage systems.
