Job description

Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Location: Austin, TX - Full-Time - Hybrid

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a fast-growing healthcare technology company that is expanding its sales development function and looking for motivated Sales Development Representatives to join the team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys connecting with prospective customers, working in a fast-paced environment, and taking ownership of opportunities from the initial conversation forward.

Unlike many traditional SDR roles, this position is focused heavily on engaging with interested prospects and inbound opportunities rather than spending your day cold prospecting. You will speak directly with potential customers, understand their needs, introduce solutions, and help move opportunities through the sales process.

For someone looking to build a long-term career in sales, this role offers strong exposure to the full sales cycle and opportunities for continued growth.

What You'll Do

  • Respond quickly to inbound prospects and new sales opportunities
  • Connect with prospective customers through phone, email, and virtual meetings
  • Qualify opportunities by understanding customer needs, timing, and priorities
  • Conduct introductory product conversations and demos
  • Manage smaller opportunities through the sales process when appropriate
  • Schedule and transition qualified opportunities to Account Executives
  • Support prospective customers as they evaluate and begin using the platform
  • Maintain accurate prospect and activity information within the CRM
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and other internal teams to identify common customer questions and improve the overall sales experience

What We're Looking For

  • 1–3 years of experience in sales development, business development, inside sales, or a high-volume customer-facing environment
  • Comfortable speaking with prospective customers by phone and leading live conversations
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain products and solutions clearly
  • Organized and disciplined when managing follow-up, pipeline activity, and multiple opportunities
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment
  • Interested in developing a long-term career in sales
  • Experience in SaaS, healthcare, benefits, insurance, fintech, or another regulated industry.
  • Experience working with small businesses, business owners, or founders is a plus
  • Previous experience qualifying and closing sales opportunities
  • Experience using Salesforce or another CRM
  • Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus

Why You'll Love This Opportunity

  • Join a rapidly growing company during an exciting stage of expansion
  • Work with inbound prospects and active sales opportunities
  • Gain exposure beyond traditional appointment-setting responsibilities
  • Develop experience across qualification, demos, pipeline management, and closing
  • Opportunity for continued growth within the sales organization
  • Collaborative, high-energy environment where strong performers can make an immediate impact

If you're looking for an opportunity to build your sales career, take on meaningful responsibility, and join a growing organization, we'd love to hear from you.
