Job description

Job Summary:
Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is a leading IT industry firm seeking a talented Product Owner (Reinsurance) for a full-time position in San Antonio, TX. The role involves managing the product backlog for Life Reinsurance features, leading functional configurations, and acting as a liaison for senior leadership to align product roadmaps with corporate goals.
Responsibilities:
• Backlog Management: Define, prioritize, and maintain a transparent product backlog for Life Reinsurance features, focusing on maximizing business value.
• Oracle IAA Ownership: Lead the functional configuration of Oracle IAA to support IFRS 17 and LDTI, including Contractual Service Margin (CSM) calculations and net liability assessments.
• Business Transformation: Partner with Finance teams to translate complex reinsurance treaty terms into actionable technical user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Data Integrity: Oversee data ingestion and mapping from source systems (like Oracle Insurance Policy Administration - OIPA) into IAA, ensuring high-quality financial data for reporting.
• Agile Leadership: Lead Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and product demos, to ensure timely delivery of product increments.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for senior leadership to align product roadmaps with corporate strategic goals and regulatory mandates.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Agile
• Product Owner
• Oracle IAA
• Deep knowledge of Life Reinsurance products, including proportional/non-proportional treaties, risk transfer, and data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Insurance Accounting Analyzer (Oracle IAA), specifically in sub-ledger accounting and disclosure requirements.
• 5 years of experience as a Product Owner or Technical Lead in an Agile environment.
• Ability to analyze complex financial datasets and perform gap analysis between 'as-is' and 'to-be' reporting states.
Preferred:
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or SAFe POPM is highly desirable.
