We are one of the leading providers in specialty services and equipment, which we provide in the upstream, midstream, and downstream markets. Our primary goal is to provide a safe working environment, while defining excellence through our quality work performance each and every day.

Located in various project locations of Stranco Field Services LLC (headquartered in Houma, Louisiana) the Field Service Technician will be the hands-on provider of the main torqueing, bolting and testing services of all field projects as may be assigned. The successful Technician can work in a fast-paced industrial work environment while maintaining focus on safe and satisfactory project completion based on company procedures and Customer specifications.

Requirements

Provides core services according to customer requirements in the following areas:

  • Pressure Testing
  • Technical bolting and torqueing, Hydrostatic testing
  • Cold cutting
  • Pipeline services
  • Equipment maintenance

Pipeline/ System Drying

  • Ensures compliance with all company and OSHA safety rules and regulations
  • Participates in Stranco safety meeting on jobsite locations during active projects
  • Participates in JSEA's and all other Safety, Health and Environmental processes
  • Uses, maintains, and inspects equipment and materials properly
  • Evaluates products accurately for maintenance, warranty, upgrades and other purposes.
  • Collaborates closely with technical and management staff to resolve technical issues.
  • Executes all on-site installation, repair, and/or maintenance and assists with client demonstration when required.
  • Understands technical problems effectively through proper analysis, evaluation and diagnoses.
  • Builds positive relationships with customers by providing outstanding and excellent services.
  • Reports potentially unsafe conditions immediately to the on-site Supervisor, HSE&T staff and Project Manager.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully
  • Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity

High School diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Minimum of 1-year experience in field operations preferred
  • Must have valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
  • Must have strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills used internally and externally (with emphasis on co-workers, customers and vendors)
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to prioritize and multitask in field setting
  • Basic computer skills especially Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), PC/Mac, and Outlook preferred
  • Regularly lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Proficient close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Can work at heights exceeding 100 feet while using approved fall protection gear
  • Can work outdoors in extreme temperatures including heat, cold, rain, snow, sun, etc.
  • Regularly use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, speech and hearing
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
