Job Description
As a Hydro Service Technician, you will specialize in inspecting and testing SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus) cylinders used by firefighters and emergency responders. This role will conduct thorough inspections, identify any issues or defects, and ensure the integrity and safety of SCBA cylinders through hydrostatic testing.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Inspect SCBA cylinders visually to identify visible signs of wear, damage, or degradation.
  • Ensure that equipment follows safety and regulatory standards.
  • Perform hydrostatic testing on SCBA cylinders to ensure they can withstand the required pressure levels without failure.
  • Monitor and assess pressure test results to confirm the integrity and safety of the SCBA cylinders.
  • Repair or replace damaged or worn components.
  • Maintain accurate records of all testing activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during testing
  • Provide exceptional customer service to customers by addressing their concerns or questions
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in hydrostatic testing or related field is preferred
  • Familiarity with 3M/Scott Safety SCBA equipment is a plus, but we will train!
