Job description

Position Summary 

 We are seeking a Civil Superintendent to oversee all aspects of civil construction on utility scale solar projects. This role represents the Contractor in the field, ensuring quality assurance, compliance with design and engineering standards, and effective sub-contractor oversight throughout the civil construction phase. 

This position is full-time, exempt, project location based. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor civil construction for compliance with project drawings, specifications, and engineering standards 
  • Verify contractor adherence to approved quality control plans and procedures 

  • Produce daily reports, photo documentation, and inspection records 

  • Identify, document, and report non-conformance issues 

  • Collaborate with project management, engineering teams, and contractor personnel 

  • Monitor contractor safety practices and escalate concerns when necessary 

  • Support punch list development, deficiency resolution, and project closeout 

Requirements: 

  • 5+ years of construction inspection experience in energy, infrastructure, or industrial projects 

  • Experience in civil works such as grading, drainage systems, road construction, and large-scale utility solar projects. 

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, Specifications, and Inspection criteria. 

  • Strong documentation, communication, and reporting skills 

  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed 

  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record. 

  • Experience with renewable energy projects or utility scale infrastructure 

  • OSHA 30 certification
