Job description

PathGroup is seeking an AP/CP Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pathologist to join our hospital-based practice supporting a leading regional referral hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Candidates based in the Greater Chicago, IL, Indianapolis, IN, and Detroit, MI areas are encouraged to apply, as this role offers a hybrid schedule consisting of approximately two weeks per month of on-site coverage in Fort Wayne and two weeks per month of remote sign-out.

This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to practice high-quality diagnostic medicine within a collaborative, digitally supported environment. Candidates with strong general surgical pathology and clinical pathology skills who value flexibility, teamwork, and complex case exposure are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sign-out of general surgical pathology and cytopathology cases
  • Perform frozen sections and intraoperative consultations
  • Oversee select areas of clinical pathology (e.g. blood bank, hematology, chemistry)
  • Participate in quality initiatives, tumor boards, and clinical discussions
  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • AP/CP Board Certification or Board Eligibility
  • Eligible for Indiana medical license
  • Excellent diagnostic and interpersonal skills
