Job description

Job Title: Fitness Manager
Location: Omaha
Reports To: Head Fitness Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking an energetic and results-driven Personal Training Manager to lead our personal training department while supporting the overall success of the gym. This role combines leadership, coaching, and sales with hands-on training to ensure an outstanding member experience, revenue growth, and team development. The Personal Training Manager will oversee the personal training team's performance and organization, support club operations, assist with membership sales and events, and drive personal training revenue through orientations and client management.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development
- Work with the Head Fitness Manager to coach, mentor, and support personal trainers to improve performance, session quality, and client retention
-- Conduct regular team meetings, ongoing training, and one-on-one development check-ins
-- Monitor trainer schedules, productivity, and accountability
Client Engagement & Experience
-- Deliver high-quality personal training sessions and orientations when needed
-- Promote a positive and inclusive training environment for both members and trainers - act as a role model for professionalism, energy, and customer service
Revenue & Sales Growth
-- Drive personal training revenue growth by consistently building and training a client base of $5000+ in recurring revenue
-- Lead personal training orientation sessions to convert new members into training clients
-- Meetings with the Head Fitness Manager and Location Manager to review KPIs and Goals
-- Analyze gym and training department KPIs to identify opportunities for growth
-- Support the team in achieving monthly personal training revenue goals through sales coaching and strategy
-- Step in to train additional clients when a trainer is unavailable or during peak demand
Operational Support
-- Collaborate with the Location Manager on club tours, membership sales, and front office needs
-- Assist in planning and executing gym events to promote member engagement and personal training
-- Help ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming gym environment
Qualifications:
-- Minimum 2 years of experience as a personal trainer (managerial experience preferred)
-- Current nationally recognized Personal Training certification (NASM, ACE, NSCA, ISSA, etc.) - Strong knowledge of fitness assessments, program design, and client onboarding
-- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and coach a team
-- Excellent communication and organizational skills
-- Sales experience in a fitness environment strongly preferred
-- CPR/AED certified
Schedule:
Full-time; must be available for a mix of morning, evening, and weekend hours as needed
