We are a nationally recognized fire protection company that engineers, fabricates, and installs fire sprinkler systems and alarms for structures including commercial buildings, government buildings, healthcare facilities, high-rise condominiums, and mixed-use projects.


Northstar Fire Protection is seeking a Fire Protection Sales Estimator to support these efforts across multiple sectors of the construction industry. In this role, you will be responsible for estimating projects, conducting site visits, and supporting business development through marketing and sales activities. This position requires a strong understanding of the Atlanta market, along with the ability to build and maintain relationships with contractors, customers, and end users.

With a strong and growing presence in the Atlanta market, our Fire Protection team focuses exclusively on delivering high-quality sprinkler, alarm, and related system solutions. We are dedicated to building lasting relationships with clients, contractors, and partners throughout the region.

  • Establish contact with prospects and qualify potential customers by scheduling sales calls, following up on leads, and utilizing established marketing strategies.
  • Identify customer needs and develop tailored solutions that align with company offerings.
  • Meet or exceed defined sales targets and performance objectives.
  • Interpret blueprints and apply working knowledge of NFPA 13, 14, and 20 standards, as well as local codes.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers, general contractors, and end users.
  • Estimate small service projects as well as larger projects ranging from $100K to $1M+.
  • Develop new business opportunities and build strong industry relationships to expand the Fire Protection division.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the fire protection industry (sales estimating experience preferred).
  • Experience in fire protection estimating, design, project management, or a combination of these disciplines.
  • Proven ability to manage projects from inception through completion.
  • Experience with layout, material takeoffs, and hydraulic calculations to develop customer proposals.
  • Proficiency with industry software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Navisworks preferred.
  • Contract sales experience in ground-up and retrofit projects is a plus.
  • Understanding of underground fire protection design and installation for bidding purposes is preferred.
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive to succeed.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and stay organized.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Reliable attendance, with flexibility to work extended hours or weekends as needed.
