Location: Arkansas Fire Training Academy
Description
This is a 12-month faculty position located on the campus of the Arkansas Fire Training Academy in Camden, AR. The instructor will work under the supervision of the Deputy Director of the Arkansas Fire Training Academy.
This is a 12-month, 40 hours per week, on-campus position. If not residing in Camden or surrounding area, relocation is required.

Examples of Duties
Essential Functions Statement(s)
• Coordinate statewide training for EMS division.
• Organize and manage classes.
• Work closely with the Deputy Director in the workings of the AFTA sites.
• Schedule instructors for classes.
• Coordinate the use of classrooms and equipment.
• Maintain equipment.
• Coordinate with outside agencies.
• Set schedule for the EMS classes, to include instructor and class time-frame.
• Solicit, coordinate and deliver a variety of EMS training programs to career and volunteer fire departments
• Revise current Academy programs and develop new programs.
• Develop and prepare instructional materials to include written materials, audio-visual materials and training props.
• Conduct testing and evaluation.
• Identify potential adjunct instructor candidates.
• Service as liaison between the fire service and the AR Fire Training Academy.
• Attend fire service meetings and in-service meetings and in-service training as well as EMS.
• Perform related responsibilities as required or assigned.
Minimum/Preferred Qualifications
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelors' Degree preferred
Experience: Five years' experience in the fire and EMS service field.
Certifications & Licenses: Firefighter II; Fire Instructor I; ADH Paramedic Instructor
