Job Summary:

As a full-time Financial Analyst Team Lead, you will provide hands-on financial analysis and functional leadership for TechSource's Financial Analyst/Project Controls organization. In this working lead role, you will support Program Management Offices (PMOs) and Program Managers while driving standardization, automation, and consistency across project financial oversight, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and related project controls processes. You will partner with the Controller, PMO leadership, financial analysts, and IT/business intelligence resources to develop scalable tools, templates, dashboards, processes, and reporting standards that improve financial visibility and support effective project management decision making. This is a full-time, on-site position in the Albuquerque office.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on financial program support to Program Managers including funding, performance, and financial activity tracking for active projects.
  • Serve as a working lead for the Financial Analyst/Project Controls organization, helping establish common priorities, operating rhythms, standards, and expectations across analysts supporting multiple PMOs.
  • Lead the financial analyst team to develop, maintain, and continuously improve standardized project financial reporting templates, PMO review packages, budget-to-actual reporting, forecasting models, variance analysis, funding/burn rate analysis, and related project controls tools.
  • Drive increased automation of monthly summary reports, dashboards, and recurring project financial analyses by utilizing the ERP system, automated reporting functionality, business intelligence tools, and available IT resources.
  • Review TechSource and subcontractor monthly financial activities, including invoice review to ensure billing accuracy, contract funding, forecasting, burn rate analysis, and percent funding spent notifications, and utilize this information to support monthly financial program reporting requirements.
  • Present findings and analysis to Program Management, PMO leadership, the Controller, and TechSource Leadership to ensure up-to-date information is available to assist in project management decision making.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and support annual financial forecasts, quarterly forecasts, and monthly variance analysis of actuals to forecast across supported programs and PMOs.
  • Establish and maintain Financial Analyst/Project Controls playbooks, procedures, training materials, and quality review practices to improve consistency, accuracy, backup coverage, and scalability across the function.
  • Partner with PMO leadership and Program Managers to understand business needs while ensuring project financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting are performed using consistent company-wide standards.
  • Identify inefficiencies, manual processes, inconsistent practices, and reporting gaps; propose solutions and lead process improvement initiatives in coordination with the Controller organization and IT resources.
  • Support proposal efforts with forecasted pricing calculations in response to Request for Quotes (RFQs) and Request for Proposals (RFPs), including pricing for new, rebids, or revised contracts upon request and direction from Program Managers, PMO leadership, and Corporate Business Development.
