About the Role

Patriot Broadband Technologies is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead fiber construction projects with a focus on underground and complex builds. This Project Manager role is responsible for owning project delivery from start to finish, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in OSP construction and is comfortable working in environments involving underground construction, challenging conditions, and DOT-regulated work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own delivery of fiber construction projects - on time, on budget, and to quality standards
  • Build and manage project schedules using validated production assumptions
  • Develop and maintainjob cost projections, tracking performance against budget and forecasting project outcomes
  • Drive execution performance by identifying risks, gaps, and issues impacting schedule or cost
  • Define and communicate resource needs, including crew requirements, timing, and skillsets
  • Coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project goals
  • Ensure proper sequencing and coordination of construction activities, including underground work and high-count fiber splicing
  • Lead project meetings and provide clear, consistent updates to internal stakeholders and customers
  • Escalate issues early and implement solutions to prevent delays

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing OSP fiber construction projects
  • Experience with underground construction, including trenching, boring, and challenging conditions (e.g., rock)
  • Experience working on DOT-regulated projects (PennDOT preferred)
  • Strong understanding of fiber construction workflows, including splicing and activation dependencies
  • Experience managing project budgets andforecasting job costs
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel as needed to project sites
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass background check, motor vehicle record check and drug screening
