We specialize in FHA, VA, and USDA loan programs and are committed to delivering a fast, efficient, and high-quality mortgage experience to our customers and business partners. We work closely with loan originators, brokers, and correspondents to provide competitive rates and exceptional service.Key ResponsibilitiesUnderwrite FHA Streamline and VA IRRRL refinance loan files in accordance with agency and investor guidelinesReview credit reports, income documentation (when applicable), asset documentation, title work, and other required supporting documentationEnsure compliance with FHA and VA program requirementsUtilize automated underwriting systems (DU/LP) and perform manual underwriting when requiredWork closely with processors, originators, and closing teams to obtain required documentation and clear loan conditionsMaintain productivity, quality control, and turn-time standards established by managementProvide clear, concise underwriting decisions and condition listsParticipate in internal and external audits and respond to documentation requests as neededStay current with FHA and VA guideline updates, compliance regulations, and industry changesBasic QualificationsStrong analytical skills and attention to detailExcellent problem-solving abilitiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environmentProficiency in Microsoft Windows and loan origination systems (Encompass preferred)Required QualificationsMinimum 5 years of mortgage underwriting experienceRecent experience underwriting FHA Streamline and/or VA IRRRL loansProficiency with Encompass LOSExperience with automated underwriting systems (DU, LP)In-depth knowledge of FHA and VA guidelinesStrong decision-making skills with a high level of accuracyAbility to manage a high volume of refinance files in a fast-paced environmentDE (Direct Endorsement) certification required for FHA underwritingSAR/LAPP approval for VA loans preferredBenefits401(k) with company matchHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceHealth Savings Account (HSA)Life insurancePaid Time Off (PTO)In Summary:If you are looking for an opportunity to contribute to a growing organization that values your skills and expertise, we want to hear from you.
