Job description

Gator's Dockside is opening its doors to our newest location in Jonesville, FL on Monday, March 25th, 2024, and we want YOU to be part of the excitement! We will be calling to schedule face to face interviews starting Tuesday February 20, 2024 - Friday March 15, 2024, or until slots fill up! The interviews will be held at our Gator's Dockside in Gainesville.

Upon joining us on our opening team your journey with us would begin with an Orientation on Monday, March 18th, offering both morning and afternoon options. Following that, our training sessions will run from March 19th to the 23rd, with both AM and PM sessions available. It's important to note that attendance on these days is mandatory, as they're essential steps in your exciting new adventure with Gator's Dockside. We're looking forward to having an amazing week of trailing, ready to learn and grow together!\

A LITTLE INFO ABOUT THE JOB:

A Food Runner/Expo is responsible for representing the restaurant as the last part of the quality assurance line for food quality. S/he provides guest service that exhibits professionalism, attention to detail, and the desire to make sure all food goes out in a quality manner.

Here are a few examples of what it takes to be successful in the \Food Runner/Expo\ position with Gator’s Dockside Restaurants

  • Deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately
  • Act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House staff
  • Communicate food orders to cooks, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g. food allergies)
  • Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards (e.g. proper temperature)
  • Remove dirty dishes and utensils
  • Answer guests’ questions about ingredients and menu items
  • Inform restaurant staff about customers’ feedback or requests (e.g. when they ask for the check)
