Audio Video Conferencing Engineer (Poly, Teams & Zoom)
 
• Design and deploy AV and collaboration systems for business units, including Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR), Zoom Rooms, and PexIP/CVI interoperability gateways.
• Support project rollouts for new conference rooms, huddle spaces, event areas, and hybrid collaboration setups.
• Configure and maintain HP/Poly conferencing systems (G7500, Studio X, RealPresence, Trio) and Barco ClickShare devices.
• Integrate AV-over-IP, NDI, Dante, VLANs, QoS, and other networking principles into enterprise AV ecosystems.
• Provide Tier 2/3 technical support during project deployments, ensuring business units receive timely issue resolution and technical guidance.
• Partner with business units to understand requirements and deliver AV/collaboration solutions tailored to their needs.
• Manage end-to-end project deployments, including planning, implementation, testing, and handover to operations teams.
• Coordinate vendor resources and oversee installation, commissioning, and acceptance testing of AV systems.
• Track and report project progress, risks, and dependencies to business and IT leadership.
• Ensure that deployments align with enterprise architecture standards and deliver measurable business value.
• Ensure that deployed solutions adhere to compliance, data retention, and security requirements.
• Maintain project documentation, including designs, SOPs, and audit-ready system inventories.
• Collaborate with compliance and governance teams to ensure readiness for regulated environments.
• Train and support business unit teams on new AV/collaboration technologies to ensure smooth adoption.
• Use analytics platforms (Vyopta, Vantage) to monitor system health and optimize room performance.
• Deliver post-deployment feedback loops with business units to measure adoption, satisfaction, and improvement opportunities
• Work cross-functionally with IT, Operations, Facilities, and vendor partners to ensure aligned project delivery.
• Act as the technical point of contact during high-profile project deployments and business-critical events.
• Mentor operations and support staff on newly deployed technologies and best practices.
• Explore opportunities to automate deployments and system monitoring with scripting (PowerShell, Python, RESTAPIs).
• Stay updated on AV, collaboration, and hybrid meeting innovations, recommending new solutions for business needs.
• Contribute to enterprise strategy by identifying future trends in AV and digital collaboration.
• 5+ years of experience in AV engineering, collaboration infrastructu re, or enterprise technology project delivery.
• Proven ability to design and implement AV systems for business units, including hybrid and executive spaces.
• Strong project delivery skills, with experience managing multiple concurrent AV deployments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, PexIP, and multi-platform interoperability.
• Familiarity with AV-over-IP, NDI, Dante, VLANs, QoS, and networking fundamentals.
• Hands-on expertise with AV control systems (Crestron, Extron) and room scheduling solutions (EMS, FreeSpace).
• Experience working with service management tools (ServiceNow preferred) and ITIL processes.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
