The Company
Gradient is a fast-paced, creatively led experiential marketing agency based in NYC. Known for designing award-winning experiences for top-tier clients in the spirits, fashion, beauty, and luxury industries, we are storytellers, culture shapers, and brand partners.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Experiential Designer to join our creative team full-time. This role is ideal for a designer with a refined aesthetic, strong technical capabilities, and a deep passion for designing immersive environments for premium and luxury brands.
As a senior creative leader, you will help guide projects from concept through execution. You will collaborate closely with strategy, production, and client service teams to develop big ideas, shape creative direction, and ensure exceptional execution at every stage of the design process.
This role requires both creative vision and technical precision, with the ability to translate concepts into compelling spatial experiences.
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in experiential, environmental, or spatial design
  • 2+ years in a senior design role leading creative development
  • Demonstrated experience working on large-scale experiential projects ($1M+)
  • A strong portfolio showcasing work for luxury, premium, or high-end lifestyle brands
  • Advanced proficiency in Rhino and V-Ray (required)
  • Strong presentation and storytelling abilities, both visually and verbally
  • Experience leading projects and mentoring junior designers
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and evolving project needs
  • Strong proficiency with AI-powered creative tools to support ideation, concept development, moodboards, and visualisation workflows
  • Based in New York, with availability for occasional in-person meetings and site visits.

What You'll Do
  • Design immersive brand environments and experiential activations for luxury clients
  • Lead the creative process from concept development through execution
  • Produce floor plans, renderings, technical documentation, and design presentations
  • Present concepts to internal teams and clients with clarity and confidence
  • Collaborate closely with production, account, and strategy teams to ensure design feasibility and execution
  • Participate in site visits, installs, and walkthroughs to maintain design integrity
  • Maintain organised design files and documentation across projects
  • Stay informed on emerging trends in experiential design, luxury retail environments, and spatial storytelling.

What We Offer
  • Remote work model
  • Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, and vision
  • 401(k)
  • Professional development opportunities
  • A creative, collaborative culture where your voice and ideas matter
  • Opportunities to work with high-profile brands in fashion, spirits, and entertainment
