We're looking for a Sales Lead, Ad Innovation to serve as the commercial voice of this initiative - translating product capabilities into market traction and revenue. You'll co-lead the Sales/Customer Partners steering committee alongside senior sales leadership, engaging agencies and advertisers throughout product development, driving adoption of new buying models, and channeling market insights back to research, technology, and monetization teams.
This is a high-visibility, cross functional, company-wide transformation role that sits at the intersection of media, data, and technology.

Type: Full-Time
What You'll Do
Customer & Market Engagement

  • Engage agency & direct client partners throughout product development cycle to ensure product aligns with buy-side workflows and transactional requirements.
  • Channel competitive intelligence and market trends - including measurement currency evolution, and outcomes-based buying - back to internal teams.
  • Translate market feedback into actionable product requirements for the Research, Monetization/Sales Operations, and Technology teams.
  • Identify and cultivate early-adopter advertisers and agencies.

Go-to-Market & Adoption
  • Develop and execute commercial activation plans & drive product adoption.
  • Build the selling narrative around core value propositions for the product across multiple marketplaces and sales channels.
  • Lead marketplace product evangelization at industry & client events.
  • Develop sales training programs, pitch decks, battlecards, and case studies that equip internal teams and external partners with product features & benefits.

What We're Looking For
  • 8-12+ years of experience in media ad sales, ad tech, or media strategy, with deep fluency across linear TV, CTV, and digital advertising ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated experience selling or activating audience-based and/or outcomes-driven buying models at the local and national level
  • Strong working knowledge of the TV measurement and currency landscape
  • Proven ability to engage senior agency and advertiser stakeholders and translate complex product capabilities into commercial value.
  • Experience with go-to-market execution for new ad products or platforms, including sales enablement, customer advisory programs, and phased market rollouts.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment alongside technology, research, operations, and finance teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to synthesize technical product details into clear, compelling selling narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with ad sales operations systems and data platforms.

Why This Role
  • Work on a high-visibility, company-wide transformational initiative.
  • Partner directly with senior leaders and decision-makers across Nexstar's sales, research, technology, finance, and publisher partnerships organizations.
  • Build experience at the cutting edge of media, data, and advertising technology.

Requirements
