Job description

Lead Environmental Restoration Projects That Make an Impact

Empire Landscape is seeking an experienced Environmental Restoration Project Manager to lead field-driven restoration and stormwater projects across the region.

​​​​What You’ll Manage

Projects include:

  • Stream and wetland plantings

  • Reforestation initiatives

  • Bioretention and stormwater management systems

  • Hydro-seeding and erosion control

  • Tree removal and preservation

  • Invasive species management

  • Native habitat restoration and bioengineering

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from planning through closeout

  • Oversee budgets, schedules, crews, and subcontractors

  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and specifications

  • Read and interpret plans, contracts, and technical documents

  • Prepare RFIs and submittals

  • Coordinate with municipalities, inspectors, contractors, and internal staff

  • Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and productivity
Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in environmental restoration, landscaping, horticulture, or arboriculture

  • Experience overseeing field operations

  • Strong understanding of environmental construction practices

  • Ability to identify native trees and shrubs

  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred:

  • Degree in Environmental Science or related field

  • Experience with municipal or government contracts

  • Spanish language skills
