YOUR OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting Environmental Team Member opportunity in our Holyoke, CO office. The Environmental Team Member will assist the Environmental Supervisor in the daily monitoring of lagoons and lagoon levels. Assists in the maintenance of equipment associated with the lagoons such as sprinklers, pumps and motors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist coordinators in pumping procedures, including paperwork and scheduling.
  • Oversee routine maintenance on company equipment
  • Apply extensive knowledge on sprinkler system and troubleshooting on irrigation motors.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and knowledge on small motors
  • Set up pumping equipment, including, but not limited to, moving pipe, setting up risers, reel rains, and motors.
  • Preform soil, water, and lagoon effluent sampling at company sites
  • Operate machinery for solids separation and compost process.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or 1-3 months related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos preferred. Ability to write simple correspondence preferred.
  • Bilingual, Spanish and English preferred but not necessary.
  • A valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record (MVR) required.

SCHEDULE

  • The hours and days of work are established by department needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends and overnight travel as requested.

COMPENSATION We offer a competitive pay rate based on your skills and experience related to this position. Our starting compensation for this position in Holyoke, CO is $17/Hr.

WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is commonly exposed to airborne particles and gases at low concentrations. The employee is frequently exposed to waste material, feed and hog dust.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility.
  • The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
  • The noise level in the work environment is dependent on which environment you are in
  • The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends, and overnight travel as requested.
