Familiarity with modeling software, GIS tools, and relevant certifications such as Professional Engineer (PE) licensure are commonly required. Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management abilities help you effectively collaborate with stakeholders and manage complex projects. These combined skills are essential for designing sustainable solutions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and successfully delivering environmental projects.

As a Full Time Environmental Engineer, you can expect to work on a variety of projects such as environmental site assessments, remediation planning, and regulatory compliance documentation. Early responsibilities often include gathering and analyzing environmental data, preparing technical reports, and assisting with the design of systems to control pollution or manage waste. • Field & Design Work: Oversee field investigations (drilling, sampling, data collection) and prepare design recommendations for complex or unusual site conditions.
  • Mentorship: Guide and support engineers, geologists, and technical staff, fostering career development and in-house training.
  • Business Development: Leverage your local market knowledge and relationships to identify, pursue, and secure project opportunities. Collaborate with clients to build trust and expand S&ME's presence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a closely related engineering field
  • 8+ years of environmental engineering experience
