How does a Full Time Enscape specialist typically collaborate with architects and design teams during a project?

A Full Time Enscape specialist works closely with architects, interior designers, and project managers to transform design models into immersive visualizations. They often participate in project meetings to understand design intent, coordinate with team members to ensure models are up-to-date, and provide real-time renderings for presentations or client reviews. Collaboration is key, as the specialist must adapt visualizations based on feedback and ensure the final output aligns with both the aesthetic and technical goals of the project. Effective communication and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential in this role.

What is the difference between Full Time Enscape vs Full Time 3D Renderer?

Full Time Enscape primarily focuses on real-time rendering within architectural visualization using Enscape software, while Full Time 3D Renderer involves creating detailed 3D models and high-quality renders often with different software tools. Both roles require strong visualization skills and are common in architecture and design industries, but Enscape specialists emphasize real-time walkthroughs, whereas 3D Renderers focus on static high-quality images.

What is a Full Time Enscape job?

A Full Time Enscape job typically refers to a professional role that heavily uses Enscape, a real-time rendering and visualization software, on a full-time basis. Professionals in these roles are often architects, designers, or visualization specialists who create high-quality 3D visualizations, walkthroughs, and presentations for architectural and design projects. Their responsibilities may include integrating Enscape with modeling programs like Revit, SketchUp, or Rhino, optimizing rendering workflows, and collaborating with teams to produce immersive visual content. Full-time positions require in-depth knowledge of Enscape’s features and a strong understanding of 3D modeling and rendering principles.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Full Time Enscape Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Full Time Enscape Specialist, you need strong 3D modeling and visualization skills, proficiency in architectural design concepts, and experience with tools like Revit, SketchUp, or Rhino alongside expert knowledge of Enscape. Familiarity with rendering workflows, real-time visualization techniques, and sometimes certifications in BIM or visualization software are typical requirements. Attention to detail, creativity, and effective communication are essential soft skills for conveying design intent and collaborating with project teams. These skills ensure high-quality visual presentations, efficient design processes, and successful project outcomes in architecture and design firms.

Position: Architectural Designer

Level: Intermediate

Studio/Department: Architecture and Interior Design Studio

Based in New York with offices in Los Angeles and Madrid, Rockwell Group is an interdisciplinary architecture and design firm that emphasizes innovation and thought leadership in every project. Founded in 1984 by David Rockwell, FAIA, the 330-person firm merges performance and architecture to create extraordinary experiences and built environments across the globe. Inspired by theater, technology, and high-end craft, the firm creates a unique narrative for each project, ranging from hospitality to cultural and educational institutions to transportation hubs and Broadway sets.

Role Overview

Rockwell Group is seeking a full-time Architectural Designer to join our office in New York.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and document design concepts for overall architectural designs and space planning
  • Sketch preliminary designs and produce collaborative 3D models (in Rhino and Revit) that reflect the proposed floor plans, RCPs, elevations, and FF&E
  • Create visualization from Rhino models with post-production work in Photoshop
  • Coordinate with project interior designers and project managers to ensure project completion in compliance with design intent

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in architecture, interiors, or design
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture or design
  • Hospitality design experience is highly preferred
  • Experience with all project phases (Concept through Construction Administration), including built work
  • Strong experience in Rhino, Adobe Creative Cloud, Revit, and AutoCAD
  • Ability to render in V-Ray or Enscape
  • Knowledgeable in materials, finishes, millwork design, FF&E, and OS&E is preferred, but not required
  • Registered Architects are preferred, but not required
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to meet fast-pace and changing deadlines
  • Highly motivated self-starter, with an attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm for working on multi-disciplinary and highly collaborative teams

In order to be considered for this position, please submit a PDF resume and PDF of relevant work samples and/or portfolio. Applications without PDF submissions will not be considered.

This is a full-time, in-studio position with hybrid/work-from-home flexibility, provided it does not interfere with responsibilities and complies with current office policy outlined in the Rockwell Group Handbook. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience ranging from $85,000 to $125,000 excluding bonuses and other benefits. This is a good faith estimate based on the expectations laid out in the job description. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and yearly performance reviews.
