Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Architectural Illustrator executes architectural illustrations using Revit, CAD, Lumion, and photoshop to produce high quality 3D images that are as close to reality as possible. Models will then be placed in Lumion to produce a movie with music. The movie will then be loaded on a You tube platform for viewing by ownership. The process and direction for these images will come from the Design & Development team in the form of photos, sketches, mark up, prints, and other formats that will require an understanding of architecture and the construction process. Use of the department resources for files, materials, signage, and equipment will also be a requirement. When possible, a 3D print will be required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree and or equivalent design illustrator experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp and Microsoft series of programs
  • Revit experience would be a plus
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Willing to work long hours
  • Visionary thinker, creative, willing to look beyond the typical and be inventive
  • Able to read, understand and produce meaningful architectural drawings
  • Drawings will be used to communicate design intent to others for full production and execution

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Regular computer work, and sitting
  • Occasional walking, standing, and lifting up to 50lbs

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
  • Performs duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices. Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
