What you'll be able to do:
We are seeking a Construction NICET II Inspector with bridge replacement experience for the position in Rochester and surrounding area, Monroe County, to start in spring of 2026. Construction inspector is responsible for overseeing and inspecting construction projects at various stages to ensure compliance with project plans, project specifications and regulations.
Position: Full time
Hours: Work same as Contractor's hours, typically 7:00am-3:30pm.
The minimum requirements we seek:
  • NICET II certification or equivalent experience.
  • Prior New York State DOT and/or New York State Thruway inspection experience or similar experience working on bridge construction projects.
  • Proficiency in computer aided project administration is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • OSHA 10 certification & knowledge of safety procedures and practices related to construction sites.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to and on the construction sites.
