Job description

Weiser Engineering, P.C. is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer for our office in Peachtree Corners, GA. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team. Candidates should be experienced in working in a team environment and should be able to oversee projects from start to finish. The primary duties will include conducting electrical studies, designs, consulting, and project management for projects focused on heavy industrial, manufacturing, and food processing facilities.
Required Skills and Abilities
BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program
Certification as an Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T.) and PE tracked
2-4 years of experience in electrical power, and lighting design
Professional attitude, strong work ethic, good communication skills, self-starter
Experienced in the production of drawings related to building lighting systems, power distribution, and general electrical systems that
meet industry and client standards and applicable codes
Proficiency with current versions of BIM Modeling Software, Revit and AutoCAD
Basic knowledge and a general understanding of the National Electrical Code and building codes related to engineering design
The ability to work independently or in a team environment effectively - The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
Knowledge of SKM Power Suites
Essential Duties
Prepare or direct development of design documentation including drawings, calculations, specifications, reports, etc.
Apply standard engineering design principles and methodologies as well as applicable codes in the preparation of construction documents
Prepare or direct development of specifications, working drawings, instructions, and other related documents
Maintain complete and orderly project files and documentation
Participate in the QC process by ensuring drawings are reviewed by a Senior Engineer; make revisions and changes as recommended
Perform design reviews as part of the QC process
Ensure that production of drawings, specifications, reports, and analyses meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements
Maintain current knowledge of applicable codes and construction standards
Ability to travel up to 25-30% of the time
