We are hiring for one of our trusted clients seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead Manufacturing Engineering operations and support the development, launch, and continuous improvement of automotive manufacturing processes. This leadership role will oversee engineering teams, support plant operations, manage capital projects, and drive manufacturing excellence in a fast-paced production environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to the Manufacturing Engineering staff, including coordinators of all ME-related functional groups
  • Ensure the organization includes the proper Manufacturing Engineering support structure, skill sets, and functional groups
  • Develop manufacturing processes and resulting investment plans for new product programs
  • Complete and manage MPPS, spend curves, equipment utilization, capacity, and timing documentation
  • Develop and communicate process flows for process sourcing
  • Oversee sourcing and implementation of manufacturing equipment for automotive components and assemblies
  • Manage standard launch activities and enforce discipline to project timelines
  • Ensure all quality standards are met related to process development and risk mitigation
  • Implement manufacturing best practices across operations
  • Develop assessment, training, and succession plans to strengthen the Manufacturing Engineering organization
  • Support current operations through problem-solving guidance and system improvements
  • Manage CapEx budgets related to manufacturing areas and process launches
  • Ensure adherence to Manufacturing Engineering procedures and administrative systems
  • Analyze process performance data to identify and implement improvements in yield, runtime, quality, safety, and cost reduction
  • Support additional engineering and operational initiatives as assigned


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or certifications
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, machining, forging, or powdered metal processes
  • 3+ years of progressive leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Plex systems and engineering software such as CAD, Mastercam, CATIA, and MATLAB
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
