Job description

The Document Specialist (TEMP) is responsible for managing engineering documentation and technical drawings within the corporate library. This role ensures records are accurately digitized, organized, indexed, and maintained within SharePoint to support efficient document retrieval and compliance with company standards. Duration: 4-7 months.
Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and maintain the corporate library and engineering drawings repository.
  • Digitize engineering documents and drawings by scanning records into SharePoint for indexing and archival purposes.
  • Meet established daily scanning productivity quotas while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Perform quality assurance (QA) reviews of scanned images to ensure legibility, completeness, and proper indexing.
  • Verify document accuracy and troubleshoot scanning or image-quality issues as needed.
  • Maintain document organization standards and ensure records are stored in accordance with company procedures.
  • Support document retrieval requests and assist with records management activities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience with document management systems, SharePoint, or electronic records management.
  • Ability to manage high-volume scanning and data entry tasks.
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings, technical documents, or controlled documentation preferred.
  • Proficiency with standard office software and scanning equipment.
