Job description

Electroplating Technician
Join Penn United Technologies as a Full-Time Electroplating Technician. You'll work alongside a skilled plating team to help set up and maintain electroplating operations, contributing to the production of high-quality products for our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the efficient setup and maintenance of the plating lines
  • Assist with plating and inspection of the parts
  • Assist with the preparation of parts for shipping
  • Interpret specifications, internal part prints used for part set-up and inspections, and job orders
  • Maintain a job tracking system
  • Help track and maintain chemical inventories used in the plating process
  • Perform visual inspection of all plated products, using a microscope
  • Study the production schedule and estimate the requirements for completing an order efficiently and effectively
  • Perform work procedures to meet schedules, using knowledge of capacities of the machines and equipment
  • Maintain accurate time and production records
  • Perform necessary housekeeping duties on the line

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Self-motivated, ability to work effectively under pressure and with a heavy work load
  • Able to make quick, effective and accurate decisions
  • Solid technical, mechanical and mathematical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and walk throughout an 8 hour shift
  • Must be able to work weekly rotating shifts of daylight, afternoon and midnight shifts
