Job description

Hunt Electric, Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate to fill our Electrical Estimator I position to join our team in our Boise office. This role will focus on learning estimating processes and electrical systems.


The Estimator I supports the estimating team by performing basic takeoffs, data entry, and document control. This role works closely with our project managers, department and division managers, and foreman to complete estimations.

 

Major Duties:

  • Assist with quantity takeoffs and measurements
  • Organize drawings, specifications, and addenda
  • Enter data into estimating software
  • Request and track vendor pricing
  • Maintain estimate files and documentation
  • Support senior estimators during bid preparation
  • Demonstrate an aptitude for learning, goal-oriented mindset for continual growth, with a “Can-Do” positive attitude.
  • Actively contributes to a positive team environment.
  • Demonstrates dependability with regular attendance and compliance to scheduled work hours.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the National Electric Code.
  • Be a self-starter and be dependable.
  • Other duties or locations as assigned by Manger.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1–3+ years electrical construction experience or related education
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and construction methods
  • Ability to read plans and specifications
  • Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with estimating software
  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills

Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm and Friday 7:00am - 2:00pm.
