Description:
The Special Education District of Lake County has an opening for a full time Art Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year. The Art Therapist will service Gages Lake School, Cyd Lash Academy middle school and our Sector programs. Gages Lake and Cyd Lash Academy are SEDOL's public therapeutic day schools for grades K-12 with significant emotional and behavioral needs. Our Sector programs include Language and Social Skills Opportunities (LASSO) classrooms for students with needs in the areas of sensory, cognitive/academics, and communication.
Type of Employment: School year 2026-2027, Full-Time
Education Required: Bachelor's Degree
Certification Type: Professional Educator License (PEL) with Art Endorsement. Art Therapist certificate, preferred.
Salary: $45,381-$73.381(25-26 rates due to current negotiations of bargaining agreement)
