Responsibilities

Department of Cardiovascular Diseases, Mayo Clinic Arizona seeks advanced echocardiography trained physician candidates to fill a faculty position in echocardiography/cardiology. Applicant must be ABIM board certified in Cardiovascular Diseases, ASE certified in Echocardiography and have an advanced echocardiography or cardiac imaging fellowship training post cardiology fellowship.

The echocardiography lab at Mayo Clinic Arizona is a high volume, ICAEL accredited lab with its own ultrasound school in affiliation with Mayo Clinic Rochester and an advanced echocardiography fellowship and research echo fellowship program. The lab supports all Mayo Clinic outpatient and inpatient hospital activities including intraoperative, structural heart disease, and mechanical device procedures. Clinical reading platform and workflow are integrated with the Mayo Clinic Rochester and Mayo Clinic Jacksonville echo labs providing ample opportunities for research collaboration.

Successful candidates must possess excellent clinical skills with strong interest and ability in education and research. Clinical rotations in the inpatient cardiology service and participating in outpatient ambulatory care are an expectation of the Department. Clinical expertise in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and or valvular heart disease is a plus. Mayo Clinic has many leadership opportunities and offers leadership development and mentorship programs.
