Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
Primary duties of full time faculty include teaching courses in the approved discipline, providing instruction to facilitate student acquisition of the specific learning outcomes identified for the assigned courses, as well as recruiting, advising, and mentoring students in and outside of the classroom. The faculty member creates and maintains an effective learning environment in the modalities of the courses assigned, be they face-to-face, hybrid, online, or within the context of dual credit instruction. Full time faculty members are also responsible for participation in professional development activities, serving on college committees, developing and updating curriculum, textbook, equipment selection and instructional materials. Faculty members are expected to maintain familiarity with and adhere to College policies and procedures.
Qualifications
All faculty members must meet Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) academic, oral and written English proficiency requirements. All full time faculty members must demonstrate a willingness and abilities to teach day, evening and/or weekend classes in face-to-face, hybrid, online, and dual credit environments.
