Job description

Job Overview
Ebenezer is looking for a Groundskeeper to join our senior cooperative at 7500 York Cooperative in Edina, MN! This position is responsible for general outdoor yard maintenance. This includes seasonal upkeep of grounds.
This groundskeeper schedule includes;
  • 80 hours every two weeks
  • Full time; Day shift
  • No weekends

Responsibilities:
  • Properly handle chemicals intended for use regarding outdoor yard maintenance.
  • Clean assigned areas in accordance with supervisor's instructions:
  • Assist with moving boxes, summer furniture, planters etc.
  • Empty trash and recycling yard waste.
  • Assists with window washing.
  • Assists with distribution of plants, flowers, shrubs etc.
  • Repairs and maintains grounds and assists with all other functions to maintain the outdoor structure:
  • Check and maintain equipment to ensure proper working condition. (Example: water hoses, rakes, shovels, clippers saws, loppers etc.)
  • Assist with seasonal clean up and removal of landscape. (Example removal of weeds, leaves, brush/twigs, branches & garbage.)
  • Trim trees & bushes cleaning up around sidewalks.
  • Remove snow from sidewalks and walkways and use ice melt on sidewalks as needed.
  • Skid steer is used at 7500 York only. Required to wear high visible warning vest or other high visibility garment when operating skid steer (Performance Class 2 garment or greater as specified by ANSI/ISEA Standard 107-2004).
  • Maintain grounds in a professional and neat manner.

Required Qualifications:
  • less than 1 year of previous experience
  • Knowledge of proper use, cleaning and storage or outdoor power tools and equipment
  • Certified and experienced to operate a Skid steer (7500 York location only)
  • Bobcat Certification Bobcat operator Certification (7500 York location only) within 30 Days and
  • Refresher Certification every three years (7500 York location only)
  • Drivers License Current Driver's License (in good standing)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • One to three years of previous experience
