Description
Martin Marietta is currently looking for their next rockstar to work in an excellent team environment based out of our Lotawana Quarry in Lee Summit, MO. Weighmasters are responsible for all aspects of customer order fulfillment, including efficient and effective interactions with customers, trucking vendors, and remotely weighing and ticketing customer trucks while working in a cohesive team environment.
This position requires travel in the KC metro area to cover scales at other sites. Olathe, Louisburg, Greenwood, Randolph, Stamper, Lone Elm, Eudora, Desoto, and Buildex. Will include other administrative duties when scale coverage is not needed.
Essential Functions
  • Issue weight and product tickets at the scale house
  • Work with trucking vendors to schedule and direct trucks
  • Communicate with truck drivers to determine destination and material transported.
  • Work closely with others in the department to ensure accuracy of tickets and delivery orders
  • Professionally accept incoming orders by telephone, email, and any other means and utilize internal systems to accurately process these orders.
  • Research problem tickets and properly document findings
  • Provide a high level of customer service that reflects on company values.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position that may require long hours and weekend work.
Required Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Related field or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Must have a valid US Driver's License

Work Environment
This job operates 90% of the time in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Familiarity with Microsoft Office software, Sales Force and JD Edwards is preferred.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Brief Description
Consists of, but not limited to, loading and weighing trucks according to CDOT rules and Martin Marietta policies and procedures. Accurately enter information into ticketing system and build rapport with customers. Communicate with dispatchers, customers, owner operators, supervisors and all levels of personnel. Execute all Martin Marietta Materials Inc. policies and procedures.
