Experienced Dental Assistant – Full Time

Pay: $24–$29 per hour, based on experience and clinical skills

Schedule: Full-time, approximately 32+ hours per week

Locations: Downers Grove and Naperville

We are hiring for both offices. The position may be based primarily at one location or include scheduled work at both offices, depending on staffing needs and candidate preference.

ABOUT THE POSITION

White Oak Family Dental is seeking an experienced, dependable Dental Assistant who is looking for a stable, long-term position in a privately owned general dentistry practice.

This is primarily a clinical position. We are looking for someone who is confident chairside, organized, proactive, and able to anticipate the doctor’s and patient’s needs.

The ideal candidate takes ownership of the clinical flow, communicates professionally, and helps create a calm and efficient experience for patients and coworkers.

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide chairside assistance during restorative, crown and bridge, endodontic, surgical, implant, and other general dentistry procedures
• Prepare, stock, and turn over treatment rooms
• Follow sterilization and infection-control protocols
• Take diagnostic-quality digital radiographs
• Assist with conventional impressions and intraoral scanning
• Maintain accurate clinical charting and documentation
• Provide patients with post-operative instructions and oral hygiene guidance
• Maintain instruments, equipment, and clinical supplies
• Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs
• Anticipate procedural needs and help keep the clinical schedule organized and running efficiently
• Support other clinical team members when needed to maintain patient care and office flow

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 2 years of dental assisting experience required
• 5+ years of general dentistry experience strongly preferred
• Strong chairside assisting and organizational skills
• Experience with restorative and crown and bridge procedures
• Endodontic, surgical, and implant assisting experience preferred
• Comfortable taking digital radiographs
• Familiarity with dental practice-management software
• Experience with intraoral scanners and digital workflows is a plus
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Friendly, calm, and professional with patients
• Able to communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a team
• Interested in becoming a long-term member of the practice
• Reliable transportation required if working at both locations

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• $24–$29 per hour, based on relevant experience and demonstrated clinical skills
• Full-time schedule of approximately 32 or more hours per week
