Assistant Digital Delivery Specialist

Location: Chesapeake, VA

Onsite Flexibility: Onsite

Contract Details
  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 6 months (with strong potential to convert to full-time based on performance)
  • Pay Rate: $34.00โ€“$36.00 / Hour (USD)

Job Summary

The Assistant Digital Delivery Specialist assists with digital project delivery. This position will assist the project team and manager(s) in developing the digital project management strategy to further the client's position and facilitate collaboration with activities, pursuits, and projects. The Assistant Digital Delivery Specialist will work on various projects with a diverse portfolio of project types and clients. This is an entry- to junior-level position, with initial assignment to smaller tasks to ramp up, and opportunity to take on more ownership and run projects based on performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the facilitation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) coordination
  • Assist with tasks that support the development of digital delivery standards, processes, and tools
  • Assist with supporting tasks specific to Integrated Project Delivery for design-build projects
  • Assist with digital delivery tasks using QA/QC standards to adhere to digital delivery scopes of work, schedules, and budgets
  • Assist with the review of clash detection and follow the reporting and resolution process
  • Assist with the changes to digital model presentations for clients
  • Assist with the changes to virtual reality simulations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist with researching and compiling required project-related data and perform metadata audits
  • Assist with creating digital delivery content for the proposal process
  • Assist with the implementation of digital delivery methods, procedures, and tools
  • Assist with developing and integrating the digital delivery schedule and project compliance
  • Assist with all aspects of project setup, such as model file setup, digital project setup, project access, cloud services, digital procurement, miscellaneous support tasks, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards
Required Skills
  • Basic knowledge of standard digital delivery software, standards, and project deliverables
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Basic software and computer skills, including BIM (Revit), Adobe Suites, and 3D Rendering Programs
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • BIM/CAD experience or exposure required
  • Autodesk products strongly preferred
  • Strong communication skills (will interact with internal and external clients)
  • Highly organized
Preferred Skills
  • Prior internship and/or related consulting experience
  • Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred
  • Involvement on campus or in the community is preferred
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Virtual Design and Construction, Engineering Technology, or a related field from an accredited program โ€” Required; OR
  • Associate Degree and 2 years of experience planning, training, organizing, and delivering complex BIM models and related digital products across project teams โ€” Required; OR
  • 4 years of experience planning, training, organizing, and delivering complex BIM models and related digital products across project teams instead of a degree โ€” Required
  • Degree programs preferred: Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), BIM/CAD-related fields
  • Fresh graduates are acceptable if they have exposure to Autodesk products through academics or internships
Required Experience
  • 1โ€“2 years of experience, or fresh graduate
  • Open to candidates with up to 5 years of experience if willing to step down into an assistant-level role
  • Strong preference for candidates early in their career
