Job description

Start a Career in the Future of Dentistry.

This is a unique opportunity to be involved in every step of modern digital dentistry—from assisting Dr. Shaw during treatment to designing and creating custom crowns using advanced digital technology. You’ll develop skills that few dental practices have the opportunity or resources to teach.

At Mark A. Shaw, DMD, we’re looking for a friendly, extremely motivated individual who enjoys helping people and is excited to learn.

This is an entry-level position with an exciting career path. No dental experience is required. We’ll provide the training, mentoring, and support you need to succeed.

As part of our team, you’ll receive hands-on training in:

Patient Experience

·      Welcome and assist patients throughout their visit.

·      Answer phones, schedule appointments, and coordinate patient flow.

·      Help create an exceptional patient experience.

Clinical Dentistry

·      Assist Dr. Shaw during dental procedures.

·      Prepare treatment rooms and instruments.

·      Learn modern dental techniques and technology.

·      Become certified to take digital X-rays and CBCT scans.

Digital Dentistry

·      Operate digital intraoral scanners.

·      Learn CAD software to design crowns, bridges, night guards, surgical guides and retainers.

·      Operate advanced 3D printing technology.

·      Help create same-day dental restorations.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is:

·      Friendly and enjoys helping people.

·      Desire to work directly on patients assisting Dr. Shaw with restorative procedures.

·      Eager to learn and grow.

·      Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented/process-oriented.

·      Comfortable with computers and technology.

·      A critical thinker and problem solver.

·      Positive, motivated, and a team player.

·      Interested in building a long-term career.

Applicants with backgrounds in customer service, healthcare, hospitality, retail, education or other professional fields are encouraged to apply.

Schedule

·      Part-time to start (2–3 days per week)

·      Opportunity to grow into 3–4 days per week

·      Flexible start times

·      Monday through Thursday

Why Join Our Team?

We believe in investing in people. You’ll receive hands-on training, mentorship, and the opportunity to develop specialized skills that few dental practices offer while working in a supportive, technology-driven environment.

We’re not simply looking to fill an opening—we’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us. If you’re excited to learn, enjoy helping people, and are looking for a career with endless opportunities to develop new skills, we’d love to meet you.

This position has the potential to grow into a full-time career as your skills and responsibilities expand.

To Apply

Please submit your resume along with a brief note telling us why you’d like to join our team. We look forward to meeting you!  We will only look at applicants who include a resume and an interest statement/why you want to develop in this area.
