What You'll Do
You will demonstrate an exemplary level of understanding and competency in applying the principles of dialysis, dialysis technology, and the expert skills required to maintain, repair and trouble-shoot all aspects of machines, equipment and water treatment systems.
The Dialysis Biomedical Technician will be maintaining the following equipment:
  • 2008T and 2008K Machines, Ameri-water Central system, and Marcor Millenium

Education:
  • High school diploma/GED

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two years of dialysis biomedical experience
  • Previous Acute, Outpatient, and or SNF dialysis biomedical machine repair
  • Certificate of repair for equipment being utilized

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ability to travel within the state; including a valid driver license and car insurance.
  • Works independently and collaboratively with other leadership teammates
  • Rapidly problem solves to repair failed biomedical equipment and systems.
  • Responsible for maintenance of physical plant.
  • Maintains ancillary equipment and water treatment systems
  • Follows infection control policies and procedures pertaining to machine equipment, water treatment and physical plant.
  • Maintains logs and documentation of activities in accordance with CDI Health's policies and procedures.
  • Communicates significant information to appropriate biomedical team members and documents in a clear, concise, and accurate manner.

Supervision: This position will report directly to Regional Biomedical Services Manager
Work Environment:
This job exists in a hospital or in the medical unit of a post-acute or correctional facility. This role may include exposure to chemicals and blood-borne pathogens. This role routinely involves the use of both medical and standard office equipment.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally push, pull or lift supplies and products up to 50 pounds. Specific visual abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
