Job description

Lead Data Center Technician

An enterprise organization is seeking a Lead Data Center Technician to oversee the end-to-end deployment, migration, and optimization of critical infrastructure within a high-availability environment. This role focuses on scaling server, network, and SAN environments while elevating physical layer standards, optimizing power/airflow, and managing capacity via DCIM tools to ensure maximum uptime.


Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Act as the primary technical lead and escalation point for floor operations.
  • Asset Tracking: Maintain precise DCIM and asset inventory records.
  • Maintenance: Safely execute installations, moves, and modifications while keeping a clean facility.


Required:

  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on technical experience in high-availability data centers.
  • Deployment: Lead rack/stack operations for servers, network, and SAN systems, owning layouts, elevations, and labeling.
  • Infrastructure: Deep knowledge of power distribution (A/B feeds, load balancing), airflow (hot/cold containment), and cabling (fiber/copper).Troubleshooting: Advanced hardware break/fix and diagnostics (Fluke, light meters, iDRAC/iLO); Sunbird experience is a plus.


Eligibility: Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.


This is a 6-month contract with long-term renewal potential in a great team culture. Position is 100% on-site 5 days a week in Tucker, GA.
