Job description

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree - Computer Science or a minimum of 5 years' progressive experience in a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in analytics, SQL, and/or ETL development.
  • Proficiencyin data warehousing/business intelligence development/data modeling.
  • 3+ years' experience building large scale data sources in Oracle or equivalent relationaldatabase.
  • 3+ years' experience using API platforms such as MuleSoft /APIGeeand ELTplatformsuch asMatillionor Informatica.
  • Have excellent SQL skills with PL/SQL development experience.
  • Hands-on development experience using an ETLtool;Oracle Data Integrator preferred.
  • Hands-on development experience with Oracle Cloud reporting and data replication; Business Intelligence Cloud Connector Console, BI Publisher, and OTBI preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with BI reporting tools likeTableau,Power BI.
  • Programming skills: Java, Scala, Python.
  • Expertisewith CI/CD pipeline and integration tools e.g., Jenkins, GIT.
  • Understand an analytics platform, its use-cases, and best practices.
  • Experience working withdifferent typesof data stores (RDMS, Flat Files, Columnar DBs, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, data lakes, and data vault.
  • Experience withCloud-based environment, Saas.
  • Experience with any of the cloud warehousing productse.g.Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, etc.
  • Experience with MS Power Platform.

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $91,200.00 to $114,000 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, thatisnot included in thebasepay.

What will you be doing?

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of solution architects and data scientists on a wide range of business problems. You will be an integral part of the ITHCM Analytics team, whois responsible forbuilding out capabilities across business strategy, analytics, and Cloud.

The role's primary focus will be on architecting andmaintainingour data pipeline and ETL processes, building integrations, and developing complex data models to foster data-driven decision making across all functional areas.

Data Engineer must be able to:

  • Independently execute on all phases of the Data Engineer project lifecycle

Responsibilities:

  • Support our Analytics partners embedded in the business, providing data to analysts across the company.
  • Be an equal member of a cohesive and selfless team.
  • Take complete ownership of your work with the goal of exceeding customer expectations.
  • Work closely with analysts, developers, and data architects to ensure development meets requirements and deliversoptimalperformance.
  • Consult on the design, development, and implementation of innovative solutions to complicated data issues which enhance traditional star-schema data structures.
  • Expertisein Data Engineering and implement multiple end-to-end DW projects inBigData environment.
  • Support and debug issues inproductionenvironment and be part of production support, across several reporting toolsets.
  • Work in an agile team - plan, prioritize design, test, and coordinate end-to-end delivery of solutions.

  • Design, create, and implement complex data models (includingcanonical, conceptual, logical, and physical models).
