Job Summary:
As the Data Governance Analyst II at Endeavor Health, you will be responsible for leading and managing data governance initiatives to ensure the integrity, security, and compliance of our organization's data assets. You will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing data governance policies, standards, and procedures, and providing strategic guidance to drive continuous improvement in data governance practices. This position will serve as a subject matter expert on Endeavor's data and reporting meta-data management and governance systems and processes systems which are out of Epic, Data warehouse, Vizient, Tableau and other reporting tools for customers at all levels of the organization.
The Data Governance Analyst will act as an intermediary between the business community and the technical community working with operational partners, data stewards, and IT to influence and drive our Data Governance program. As part of the Data Governance Team, this position will work closely with various stakeholders to define enterprise metrics/terms; streamline practices; research, design, and curate documentation; and implement data management process improvements.
To be successful in this role, you will be expected to remain updated on the latest solutions and technologies and advocate for the adoption of industry best practices.
What you will do:
  • Assist in the development and implementation strategic roadmap for data governance initiatives, aligning with organizational goals and objectives, and driving continuous improvement in data governance practices.
  • Develop data governance policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and organizational needs.
  • Partner with clinical and operational experts to reinforce governance in support of organizational performance goals.
  • Lead moderate complexity governance projects and initiatives, gather business requirements by conducting meetings and facilitating large group/cross-functional sessions with customers.
  • Develop the process and governance checklists developers use to design and develop reports/dashboards and data extracts using skills developed using the following tools: SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Epic Reporting Workbench, Cognos and Epic Palette.
  • Monitor solution performance and troubleshoot governance-related issues.
  • Effectively manage multiple concurrent assignments, produce usable documentation and share code & knowledge within Data Analytics team and, as applicable, with colleagues in IT.
  • Provide mentorship and support to Data Governance Analyst I team members.
  • Remains updated on latest technologies available in the market and promotes the adoption of relevant technologies. Engage with industry related organizations, such as HIMSS, Epic UGM / XGM, Vizient, Data Visualization as appropriate.

What you will need:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, IT, basic science or equivalent work experience.
  • Certifications: EPIC Certification encouraged within 6 months of employment (Endeavor sponsored)
  • Experience: Two (2) or more years of relevant experience.
  • Unique or Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with meta-data management and data governance principles and practices
  • Stakeholder & Stewardship Management
  • Experience in Informatica CDGC
  • Strong intellectual curiosity
  • An understanding of analytics databases, warehouse, datalakes for both traditional/relational and non-traditional systems (e.g. Oracle, MS-SQL Server, Hadoop, Spark, etc)
  • Knowledge in Utilizing Process/Performance improvement methodologies (IHI, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Understanding of database querying skillsent using SQL or other related tools or languages.
  • Understanding of visualization and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Cognos, SSRS, etc)
  • Analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR)
  • Familiarity with healthcare industry or healthcare information systems
  • Demonstrated proficiency in writing complex database queries using SQL or other related tools or languages
  • Proficient in Utilizing Process/Performance improvement methodologies (IHI, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Strong analytic, problem solving, negotiation, issue resolution and facilitation skills are required
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication and decision-making skills.
