Who We Are
District of Columbia International School (DCI) is a public charter school serving over 1600 racially and economically diverse students in grades 6-12 from across the District of Columbia. We aim to provide our students with a world-class education that empowers them to follow their passions and change the world. DCI's education centers on an International Baccalaureate curriculum, advanced language learning in Chinese, Spanish, and French, and a culture focused on student agency supported by 1:1 technology.
Position Overview: DCI is hiring a full-time Data and Assessment Analyst. The Data and Assessment Analyst owns the data systems, processes, validation and configuration at DCI, In partnership with the Data & Assessment Coordinator, the principals, and the CAO this role also assists with the planning and coordination of all standardized assessment administration.
Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000 (Starting salary is determined by education and years of relevant experience)
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Experience with data management and testing coordination in a school setting required.
  • Experience with DC Standardized Assessments is a plus.
  • Experience as a teacher is a plus.
  • Excellent excel and data analysis skills as well as building data dashboards required.
  • Excellent project management skills required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary.
  • Ability to use multiple technology platforms to guide instruction and communicate with students and families and proficiency with communicating using G-Suite tools, including Gmail, is preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Clear a background check.

Key Qualities & Skills:
Educational Data Management
  • Build and maintain systems of data collection across school teams including dashboards, calendars, trackers, etc.
  • Serve as a data management liaison and technical support for key platforms used at DCI (example - Toddle).
  • Build and use data systems to proactively report data to instructional leaders for use in making instructional decisions.
  • Analyze and organize data for the Data & Assessment Coordinator, senior leaders, and instructional leaders for use in presentations and in alignment with DCI's Five Year Strategic Plan and ongoing focus areas.
  • Assist with professional development for educational staff in order to increase their skills in using current data platforms.
  • Assist with student and staff culture survey implementation, and analysis for reporting.
  • In partnership with the Data & Assessment Coordinator, support the management of SIS (eSchools Plus) and other data systems as needed, reconciling errors between systems.
  • Prepare and analyze data for special projects.
  • Analyze and report all data points as required by OSSE and PCSB.

Assessment
  • Supervise the implementation of our testing protocol and calendar, including the planning and communication of all test administration windows (STAMP, MAP, SAT/PSAT, ACCESS, and DC CAPE)
  • Provide professional development for educational staff in order to increase their skills in providing a compliant and effective testing administration environment.
  • Partner with the Student Support Team (SST) team and grade level teams to support small group testing accommodations.
  • Ensure data security protocols for all standardized assessments
  • Supervise the training and support of all staff in completion of testing and makeup testing
  • Other duties as assigned.
