About the Role
The Columbus Crew & Columbus NWSL is seeking a Manager, Data Analysis to join the business analytics team. This role will lead the delivery of data-driven insights that support key business functions across the Club, including Ticketing, Marketing, and Corporate Partnerships.
The Manager, Data Analysis will serve as a trusted analytics partner to business stakeholders, translating data into actionable insights that drive revenue growth, fan engagement, and strategic decision-making. This position reports to the Haslam Sports Group's Manager of Data Analysis and collaborates closely with analytics and data partners who support the Columbus Crew, Columbus NWSL, and Cleveland Browns.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead data analysis efforts for the Columbus Crew & the Columbus NWSL team, supporting Ticketing, Marketing, and Corporate Partnerships initiatives
  • Lead pre-launch foundational analysis for Columbus NWSL, launching in 2028.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define analytical needs, deliver insights, and inform strategic and operational decisions
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reporting solutions to support both recurring and ad-hoc business questions
  • Work closely with the Haslam Sports Group Data Architecture team to develop, automate, and streamline scalable reporting solutions
  • Support ticketing strategy through analysis related to pricing, sales performance, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Analyze marketing and fan engagement data to evaluate campaign performance, acquisition, and retention efforts
  • Provide analytical support for Corporate Partnerships, including sponsorship performance, asset valuation, and partner ROI
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across all analytics and reporting outputs
  • Collaborate with the broader Haslam Sports Group Analytics team to align tools, definitions, and best practices
  • Clearly communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization

Required Experience & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or analytical field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 5-8 years of experience in an analytics or business intelligence role, preferably within the sports industry
  • Experience supporting business functions such as ticketing, marketing, revenue, or partnerships
  • Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and querying large datasets
  • Experience developing data visualizations and dashboards, preferably using Tableau
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with an MLS club, NWSL club, or other professional sports organization
  • Familiarity with CRM, ticketing, marketing, or sponsorship data
  • Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Python or R
  • Experience mentoring or supporting the development of junior analysts

Work Environment
  • This is a full-time position. Must be able to work flexible, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
