What is a full time cPanel administrator?

A Full Time cPanel administrator is a professional responsible for managing and maintaining web hosting environments that use cPanel, a popular web hosting control panel. Their duties typically include setting up and configuring websites, managing server security, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting users with web hosting needs. They work full-time to ensure server uptime, optimize performance, and safeguard data. This role requires a strong understanding of Linux systems, networking, and web technologies. Full Time cPanel administrators are commonly employed by web hosting companies, IT service providers, or large organizations with in-house servers.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a cPanel administrator?

To thrive as a cPanel Administrator, you need strong knowledge of Linux server management, web hosting fundamentals, and experience with cPanel/WHM platforms, usually backed by relevant IT certifications or hands-on experience. Familiarity with command line tools, server security applications, and backup/restoration systems is typically required. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills help you efficiently address technical issues and support users. These skills are crucial for maintaining reliable web hosting environments, ensuring security, and delivering prompt technical support.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals managing cPanel environments full-time, and how can they be addressed?

Full-time cPanel administrators often encounter challenges such as handling high volumes of support tickets, managing server security, and ensuring optimal website performance for multiple clients. Staying current with frequent updates and patches is also vital to prevent vulnerabilities. These challenges can be addressed by automating routine tasks, following best security practices, and participating in ongoing training. Collaboration with other IT team members and clear communication with clients are key to maintaining a stable and efficient hosting environment.

Job description

Digital Operations Specialist / WordPress Webmaster

InnoVision Marketing Group | Full-Time |

About InnoVision Marketing Group

InnoVision Marketing Group is a full-service digital marketing agency helping businesses grow through strategic marketing, compelling content, and results-driven campaigns. We manage WordPress websites, marketing automation, and digital infrastructure across a diverse portfolio of clients. We're looking for a seasoned digital operator who can wear many hats — and wear them well.

Role Overview

This is not a single-lane role. You'll be the person our team and clients rely on when something needs to get built, fixed, automated, or launched online. One day you're building a WordPress site from a Figma file. The next you're configuring Cloudflare DNS, setting up a GoHighLevel automation, troubleshooting a VPS, writing a Klaviyo email campaign, or vibe-coding a custom landing page. You've been working on the web for 10+ years and you're comfortable with that kind of variety — in fact, you prefer it.

What You'll Do
  • WordPress & Web Development
  • Build WordPress websites from designer mockups (Figma, Adobe XD, PSD) using Elementor Pro
  • Own mobile responsiveness and page speed on every build and update
  • Customize and manage multiple themes across different client sites
  • Manage staging and production environments cleanly and safely
  • Configure Rank Math SEO — focus keywords, meta descriptions, schema, sitemaps
  • Troubleshoot plugin conflicts, PHP errors, downtime, and other WordPress issues fast and independently
  • Hosting, Servers & Infrastructure
  • Navigate Hostinger, cPanel, and VPS server environments — file management, PHP version management, email accounts, and serverlevel configuration
  • Use FTP/SFTP for file transfers and direct sitelevel access
  • Manage domain registration and transfers via GoDaddy and other registrars
  • Configure and manage DNS records (A, CNAME, MX, TXT, SPF, DKIM) across registrars and hosting providers
  • Set up and manage Cloudflare — DNS routing, SSL/TLS configuration, caching rules, security settings, page rules, and DDoS protection
  • Handle SSL certificate installation and renewal across hosting environments
  • Troubleshoot domain propagation, email deliverability, and DNSrelated issues
  • CRM & Marketing Automation
  • Build and manage automations in GoHighLevel (GHL), HubSpot, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, and similar platforms
  • Create and deploy email campaigns — from copy to setup to send
  • Configure pipelines, workflows, triggers, and integrations across CRM platforms
  • Troubleshoot automation failures and crossplatform integration issues
  • Vibe Coding & NoCode / LowCode
  • Build and deploy pages, funnels, and experiences using AIassisted and vibecoding approaches
  • Comfortable using modern AI coding tools to build fast without always needing handcoded solutions
  • Adapt quickly to new platforms and tools as the landscape evolves
  • General Digital Operations
  • Manage multiple client projects simultaneously without dropping the ball
  • Collaborate with designers, account managers, and content teams
  • Own problems endtoend — identify the issue, find the solution, implement it, verify it works
  • What We're Looking For

    Required:
  • 10+ years of handson experience working on the web — this is nonnegotiable
  • Expertlevel WordPress (frontend + backend): PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery
  • Elementor Pro proficiency — our primary page builder
  • Cloudflare — DNS management, SSL/TLS, caching, page rules, security settings
  • GoDaddy and other domain registrar experience — domain registration, transfers, DNS configuration
  • Deep understanding of DNS records (A, CNAME, MX, TXT, SPF, DKIM) and how to troubleshoot propagation issues
  • Hosting environments — Hostinger, cPanel, VPS server management
  • FTP/SFTP proficiency for filelevel access and management
  • CRM platform experience — working knowledge of at least 23 of: GoHighLevel, HubSpot, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or comparable platforms
  • Ability to build and manage email campaigns endtoend
  • Ability to create CRM automations — workflows, triggers, pipelines, integrations
  • Vibe coding familiarity — comfortable using AIassisted tools to build and deploy quickly
  • Mobile responsiveness mastery — every deliverable works perfectly on all devices
  • Page speed optimization — Core Web Vitals, caching, image optimization
  • Multitheme experience — comfortable navigating and customizing various WordPress themes
  • Staging environment management and clean stagingtoproduction deployments
  • Ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously across many industries
  • Preferred:
  • GoHighLevel subaccount management and funnel building
  • SEO knowledge beyond Rank Math — keyword strategy, technical SEO, internal linking
  • Basic SSH / command line comfort for serverlevel tasks
  • WooCommerce experience
  • Git / version control familiarity
  • Experience working inside a digital marketing agency
  • You'll Thrive Here If You…

  • Have seen it all on the web — nothing surprises you after 10+ years
  • Can contextswitch between a WordPress build, a Cloudflare DNS issue, and a GHL automation in the same afternoon
  • Own problems from start to finish — you don't pass the buck when something breaks
  • Know how to use AI tools to work faster without sacrificing quality
  • Keep 10+ client projects organized and moving without things falling through the cracks
  • Communicate clearly with nontechnical teammates about what's happening and why it matters
  • PLEASE NOTE: InnoVision is a firm believer of promoting from within, which provides tremendous opportunity for your career advancement. We demonstrate this with the statement that every team member of InnoVision’s management team has advanced to their current positions of Directors and Vice Presidents through promotions.

Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
