Job description

As the Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality meals for our residents during breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You will lead the kitchen team, ensuring that every dish is crafted with care and attention to detail, while maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook nutritious and delicious meals for residents, adhering to dietary guidelines and preferences.
  • Lead and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure food quality, presentation, and service meet our high standards of excellence.
  • Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and resident feedback.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following food safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless dining experiences for residents.
  • Long Term Care Cooking experience is a plus!
  • Must have 6 months previous cooking experience in a professional kitchen/ setting.
  • This will be an evening position, including every other weekend.
