Description
Are you ready to advance your career in mechanical design? As a Mechanical Designer at ISG, you will dive into the world of Revit, blueprint creation, and innovative problem-solving. From drafting to prototyping, you'll be at the forefront of turning concepts into reality. In addition, you will be an ISG Employee Owner working collaboratively with your fellow employee owners, along with partnering with Mechanical Engineers to support the production of construction documents and blueprints for different building types. You will be working within Revit to create layout of mechanical systems within buildings.
In this role, you will work closely with Tony Effenberger, PE, Mechanical Engineering Practice Group Leader, along with others on the Mechanical Engineering team. You will also collaborate with ISG internal resources for design and project coordination, project execution and construction administration.

Essential Duties
  • Design and draft HVAC, plumbing and fire protection mechanical systems using Revit
  • Produce and coordinate construction drawings with other disciplines
  • Field measure and document existing buildings
  • Interface with other ISG team members in a positive & professional manner
  • Work collaboratively with multi-discipline engineering teams and project managers

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field
  • 1-2+ years of working experience in mechanical design within the AEC industry, preferably focused on HVAC and plumbing systems
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and apply HVAC and plumbing design principles at a high level
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of most building systems and trades
  • Knowledge of building codes, such as IMC, IPC, and FFC
  • Ability to travel to various job sites and office locations
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with engineers and cross-disciplinary teams
  • Self-directed, organized, multi-tasker and can work independently with minimal supervision
  • Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and contribute creatively to project solutions
