To thrive as a Full Time Conversation Designer, you need expertise in linguistics, UX writing, and human-computer interaction, often supported by a background in communications, design, or a related field. Familiarity with conversational AI platforms (like Dialogflow, Microsoft Bot Framework, or Rasa) and prototyping tools is typically required. Strong collaboration, empathy, and creative problem-solving skills help designers craft natural, user-friendly chatbot and voice assistant experiences. These skills ensure that digital conversations are engaging, efficient, and aligned with both user needs and business objectives.

What are some common challenges Full Time Conversation Designers face when collaborating with cross-functional teams?

Full Time Conversation Designers often work closely with product managers, engineers, and UX/UI designers to create effective conversational interfaces. A common challenge is aligning the vision and expectations among team members with diverse backgrounds, especially when balancing technical feasibility with user experience goals. Clear communication and frequent feedback loops help ensure the conversation design integrates seamlessly with the overall product. Additionally, designers may need to advocate for user-centric language choices and educate others on the nuances of conversational flow.

Job description

About Us:
We're on a mission to make subscriber churn a solved problem. Backed by a16z Speedrun, we build AI agents that help consumer subscription brands - like Higgsfield and Promova - retain more users, extend lifetime value, and grow fast. We're an incredibly driven team working on a problem that affects every consumer on the planet. If that sounds like your kind of thing, we'd love to meet you.
Our co-founders are Azamat Khamidov and Benazir Toleubekova. Azamat built a Telegram AI product from zero to five million users in four months, the first acquisition inside Telegram. Benazir received a full scholarship to Beijing University of Technology at 15. Joined Taobao at 17. At Alibaba, architected the core recommendation engine serving 500M daily users.
What You'll Do:
This is the first design role at Sirius. That means you'll set the visual and interaction language for everything we build. We're looking for a Product Designer who cares about the craft at every level; from the shape of an interaction to the clarity of a data visualization. You'll be working on a product that touches real revenue for real companies, which means your design decisions matter in ways you'll be able to see and measure. You'll be a close partner to engineering and product, shaping how we communicate complex retention intelligence in ways that feel obvious and inevitable to the people using it.
  • Own product design end to end - research, flows, high-fidelity UI, and the handoff details that make implementation feel right
  • Build and maintain a design system with a long-term sensibility, not just the current sprint
  • Work directly with Claude Code and TypeScript to prototype and occasionally contribute production-ready UI
  • Partner with founders on product direction, bringing a designer's perspective to strategy early - not just execution
  • Move fast enough to keep pace with a small team, but carefully enough that the quality standard stays high

What You'll Bring:
  • 3+ years of product design experience - enough that you've shipped something real and learned from what didn't land
  • Figma fluency: components, variables, auto-layout, prototyping
  • Comfortable using Claude Code/Codex to accelerate your workflow and iterate on live UI
  • TypeScript literacy - you don't need to be an engineer, but you can read and write enough to collaborate without a translator
  • A portfolio that shows taste, rigor, and the ability to simplify complex problems into clear interfaces
  • Based in San Francisco or able to be here full-time. We're not offering visa sponsorship at this time.

Our Values:
Stewardship: We build for the long term. Every customer, partner, and teammate gets that same commitment from day one.
Trust: Earned through the integrity of our technology, the consistency of our commitments, and the honesty of our communication.
Customer Obsession: We win when our customers win. Every choice and conversation orbits around what makes them stronger.
Excellence: The same standard for the product we ship, the service we give, and the team we build. The bar is the bar.
Family: A constellation, not a single star. We back each other on hard days, celebrate the great ones, and protect the time teammates need to be parents, partners, and humans first.
Life at Sirius:
In-person, in San Francisco: We work side by side, on-site in San Francisco. Proximity helps us move faster, solve harder problems, and build something we're proud of together. Note: we're not able to offer visa sponsorship at this time.
Flexible healthcare: We offer flexible spending to direct your benefits toward what matters most to you and your family.
Own what you build: We're building something real, and we want you to own it.
Lunch, coffee & snacks: Daily lunch, plus coffee, tea, and snacks to keep you going.
Time off that's actually off: Take the time you need to show up as your best self. We mean it.
Company Events: We work hard and celebrate our wins.
